Hurricanes Michael and Florence are the latest hurricanes to wreak havoc on the East Coast, with estimates of the damage from Hurricane Florence alone in the $20 billion dollar range.

As rehab therapists, we’re driven by a deep desire to help people. It’s why many of us chose this profession in the first place. Well, right now, we have an opportunity to channel that drive into action for the greater good. In the words of Helen Walton, it’s not what you gather, but what you scatter that tells what kind of life you have lived. Let’s mobilize as a community to channel that desire toward a higher purpose.
